“Presence-Absence: tools for movement research and sensibility in dance” από τον βραζιλιάνο χορευτή Pedro Penuela, στο Μ54.
Σε ένα πολύ ωραίο ξεκίνημα της φετινής χρονιάς, ο Pedro το μήνα Οκτώβρη θα μοιραστεί την έρευνα που πραγματοποίησε στις διδακτορικές του σπουδές (PhD in Perfoming Arts developed at University of Sao Paulo) εστιάζοντας στα έργα των Steve Paxton, Pina Bausch and Kazuo Ohno.
Το εργαστήριο βασίζεται στην ιδέα της -παρουσίας- όπως τη συναντάμε στα έργα των τριών αυτών καλλιτεχνών. Μέσα από θεωρητικές και σωματικές πρακτικές, με εργαλεία την κινητκή έρευνα/αυτοσχεδιασμό, όπως και πιο τεχνικές ασκήσεις θα εμβαθύνουμε στην έννοια και τις δυνατότητες της μνήμης του σώματος για τη δημιουργία της κίνησης και τη δύναμη των ποιητικών εικόνων που ενσωματώνουν την ετερότητα.
Κάθε Σαββατοκύριακο είναι αφιερωμένο σε κάθε καλλιτέχνη ξεχωριστά και ολοκληρώνεται με παρουσίαση από τους/τις συμμετέχοντες/άσχουσες. Υπάρχει δυνατότητα παρακολούθησης κάθε ενότητας ξεχωριστά:

- 15 και 16 Οκτ. - Pina Bausch and body memory
- 22 και 23 Οκτ. - Kazuo Ohno and otherness
✔ Το εργαστήριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα αγγλικά και απευθύνεται σε χορευτές, χορογράφους, performers, άτομα με ενδιαφέρον για τις τέχνες, το χορό ή την φιλοσοφία, που έχουν ασχοληθεί με την κίνηση.

PRESENCE-ABSENCE
Pedro Penuela is a dance artist, psychologist and researcher based in Brazil. During October 2022 he will be in Athens sharing his workshop “Presence-Absence: tools for movement research and sensibility in dance”. This work is based on his PhD in Performing Arts (developed at University of Sao Paulo), during which he focused on the work of Steve Paxton, Pina Bausch and Kazuo Ohno and interviewed Paxton himself, as well as artists who worked with Bausch and Ohno.
The workshop is based on the idea of presence in the works of these three
choreographers. Each weekend will be inspired and based in one of them.
It will be a set of theoretical-practical classes, in which we will work on research/improvisation movement as well some technical training, focusing on the building and organization of perception and attention, meanings and possibilities of body-memory for movement creation and powers of poetic images to embody otherness. You can attend each section seperately:
- 8 - 9-Steve Paxton and perception
- 15 -16-Pina Bausch and body memory
- 22 - 23-Kazuo Ohno and otherness
The workshop is addressed to: dancers, choreographers, performers, actors, artists in general, people interested in arts, dance and philosophy with a prior experience in movement.

◫ Pedro Penuela is a dance artist, psychologist and researcher based in Brazil. During October 2022 he will be in Athens sharing his workshop “Presence-Absence” which was developed during his PhD in Performing Arts (University of Sao Paulo). In this research he investigated the works of Steve Paxton, Pina Bausch and Kazuo Ohno and interviewed Paxton himself as well as artists who worked with Bausch and Ohno. The workshop is focused on modes of presence in the works of these three choreographers. In the classes we will reflect on how presence is always paradoxically interconnected with absence, especially regarding perception, memory, and our relationships with otherness.
It will be a theoretical-practical work, based on many different tools for dance improvisation and movement research regarding these themes around presence, memory, perception and otherness.
