Περιγραφή εργαστηρίου:
Με επικεφαλής την Julianna Bloodgood, πρώην ηθοποιό της θεατρικής ομάδας Song of the Goat Theatre, αυτό το εργαστήριο εμβαθύνει στις καθολικές αρχές και πτυχές της παραστατικής ερμηνείας. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα εξερευνήσουν πώς να ενσωματώνουν αρμονικά σε μια διαδικασία, καλλιτεχνική έκφραση, πνευματική διάνοια, φωνητικές ικανότητες και σωματικότητα. Μέσα από μια σειρά ασκήσεων και εμπειρικών πρακτικών, οι συμμετέχοντες θα καλλιεργήσουν την παρουσία τους, θα αποκαλύψουν την αυθεντική φωνή τους και θα αναπτύξουν ένα σώμα που είναι εκφραστικό και ικανό να επικοινωνεί συναισθηματικές αλήθειες, οδηγώντας τους στο να γίνουν λαμπεροί αφηγητές.
Όλοι έχουμε μέσα μας εκατοντάδες φωνές, χαρακτήρες και δυνατότητες δημιουργικής έκφρασης. Το Πολυφωνικό Σώμα, επιτρέπει σε όλα τα στοιχεία της εσωτερικής ζωής του ερμηνευτή, τις φωνητικές δυνατότητες και τη φυσική έκφραση, να διοχετεύονται με αρμονικό και πλούσιο τρόπο. Κάθε άσκηση θα καλλιεργήσει την παρουσία, θα αποκαλύψει μια φωνή και ένα σώμα ανοιχτό και ελεύθερο, εκφραστικό και ικανό να μεταδώσει τη συναισθηματική αλήθεια, φέρνοντας μας έτσι κοντά στην πιο αυθεντική, ευάλωτη και δημιουργικά ισχυρή κατάστασή μας.
Το εργαστήριο συμπεριλαμβάνει τεχνικά τον χορό, το σωματικό θέατρο του ηθοποιού ξυπνώντας μια αίσθηση εσωτερικού και εξωτερικού ρυθμού, δουλεύοντας με σωματική παρόρμηση, χωρική επίγνωση και εστίαση.
Κάθε άσκηση εμβαθύνει τη σύνδεση του σώματος με τις παρορμήσεις και τα ερεθίσματα, και σταδιακά διασυνδέει όλες τις πτυχές μας, ώστε η τελικη μας έκφραση να είναι δυναμική, στοχαστική, συνειδητή,ελεύθερη.

Η Julianna Bloodgood, με καταγωγή από την Καλιφόρνια, κατοικεί στην Πολωνία από το 2009, είναι τραγουδίστρια, ηθοποιός, χορεύτρια και δασκάλα.Το έργο της αφορά στην έρευνα της ανθρωπολογικής παράστασης , έχει ταξιδέψει εκτενώς σε όλο τον κόσμο αναζητώντας διαφορετικές πολιτιστικές απόψεις για το σώμα, τη φωνή και την τελετουργική επιτελεση. Ο πυρήνας της δουλειάς της είναι μια λεπτομερής εξάσκηση στη σχέση σώματος και φωνής και πώς αυτή μπορεί να επιφέρει εκφραση και σύνθεση.
Η Τζουλιάννα υπήρξε συνεργάτης, σε πρωταγωνιστικους ρόλους, της βραβευμένης και αναγνωρισμένης πολωνικής θεατρικής ομάδας Song of the Goat Theatre από το 2009-2019, με παραστάσεις που έχουν κερδίσει διακεκριμένα θεατρικά βραβεία, όπως τα Fringe First του Φεστιβάλ Εδιμβούργου Fringe, τα Βραβεία Archangel, το UK Musical Theatre Matters. Workshop Description:
Led by Julianna Bloodgood, formerly of Song of the Goat Theatre, this workshop delves deep into the physical and ensemble aspects of performance. Participants will explore how to harmoniously integrate the performer's inner life, vocal capabilities, and physical expression. Through a series of exercises and experiences, attendees will cultivate presence, uncover their authentic voice, and develop a body that is expressive and capable of communicating emotional truths, leading them towards becoming radiant storytellers.
We all have within us hundreds of voices, characters, and possibilities of creative manifestation. The Polyphonic Body, is allowing all the elements of the performer’s inner life, vocal possibilities and physical expression to be channeled in a harmonious and contrapuntal way. This workshop is designed to open and integrate all aspects of the performer. Each exercise and experience will cultivate presence, reveal a voice and body that is open and free, expressive and capable of communicating emotional truth thus bringing to bear our most authentic, vulnerable and creatively powerful state; the path to become a radiant storyteller.
This workshop contributes to the classical actor’s technique, dance, physical and musical theatre by awakening a sense of internal and external rhythm, working with physical impulse, spatial awareness and focus. Each exercise will deepen the body’s connection to impulses and stimulus and gradually interconnect all aspects of the craft. The manifestation of the work is dynamic, contemplative and entirely musical.

Julianna Bloodgood, originally from California has resided in Poland since 2009, is a vocalist, actress, movement artist and teacher whose work includes anthropological performance research and she has traveled the globe extensively in search of different cultural perspectives on the body, voice and the ritual of performance. The core of her work is a detailed practice in the relationship between body and voice and how this can be brought to performance and composition. Julianna was a leading actress in the award winning and critically acclaimed Polish theatre company Song of the Goat Theatre from 2009-2019. She was an integral part of the development, devising, premiers and world tours of Songs of Lear; Portraits of the Cherry Orchard; Return to the Voice; Umilowanie: Dead Walk Love; Crazy God; Island and Hamlet: A Commentary. These performances have won prestigious theatre awards including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Fringe First, Archangel Awards, UK Musical Theatre Matters. Julianna’s work with Song of the Goat gained international attention and she participated in several world tours with the company. Julianna is also a resident artist with Theatre MITU based in New York City; is an associate artist with Bru Theatre of Ireland and regularly collaborates with Slovakian company Honey and Dust.
Julianna is an associate artist with Brú Theatre of Galway, Ireland. In 2021 she was the composer, music director, and a performer for the piece Gol, which explored traditionally Irish keening, or lamentation for the dead: caoineadh. She recorded her music with Brú and the ensemble of Gol to serve as the soundscape for the virtual reality piece Olagón, a lament for the land guiding spectators through wild landscapes of west Ireland through the perspective of a single woman, whom she performed. Julianna was the collaborator and co-creator with director and writer James Riordan of Brú Theatre, in the development of a script for a solo-female performer called Cráite, which explores historical reconciliation with “long-form lament”. Cráite was the result of a bursary award from the Abbey Theatre of Ireland. James and Juliann met during Creative Europe’s Make a Move, a year- long initiative designed to strengthen the skills of artists in the Independent Theatre sector.
In 2019, Julianna was awarded a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for her research and development of a script based on Saint Catherine of Siena, and in 2022 she directed, premiered and performed the piece entitled Little Thunder, in collaboration with composer Katarzyna Szwed and the Warsaw Stage Society: a theatrical concert exploring the line and lineage of female mystics.
Julianna teaches her methodology called Embodied Voice Practices, which is an in-depth research of the connection of the body and voice and its inherent healing capacities and the Polyphonic Body, a physical, vocal and ensemble based theatrical training. Julianna has a particular interest and research in the vocal practice of lamentation, which has become a through line in all of her work. She continues to research the technical, historical and contemporary aspects of lamentation. Julianna has a master’s degree with high honors from Manchester Metropolitan University; is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing arts and has a certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. She has studied with vocalists, movement artists and somatic practitioners in the United States, throughout Europe, in India and Thailand.
